Notes from the ODPi Operations PMC 8/24 meeting

1. Operations spec

Complete text for the generic part of the spec. We will do an internal review before sending it out for a more general review. Tim will work on the ambari specific spec using the current wiki links.

2. Another hack-a-thon for the spec

Tim will schedule another hack-a-thon for 9:30-12 PT on Thursday Sept 1st.

3. Versioning the wiki documentation (update from Yusaku)

We can do this at any point even prior to the 2.4 release (not changes are anticipated to the 2.4 documentation at this point). Yusaku will try to get it done by next week.

4. Ambari getting included into the BigTop build (update from Roman)

Roman close to getting this done. He is stuck on some infrastructure stuff with ODPi.

5. Test harness

When we have a draft version of the operations spec for Ambari, we can go over the test harness based on that. Will probably need to create a test service (Hello World) packaged as an extension management pack. We will need to figure out whether we will actually require installation. Will need to verify what we actually need with a test service. Will need to create JIRAs for all test harness work. Kerberos support?

All the tests will be written assuming Ambari is the management tool.
