Spec

  • Core specification of a process for how to register program participants with Atlas as a data aggregator, and charging network for companies to use
  • Ever evolving spec, version 1.0 for use in NY State, possible for future funding opportunities
  • Measuring reliability and uptime is key and part of the spec and metrics

Process oriented spec, not software, but a way to standardize reporting. Atlas is a 14 person company.

Site registration: https://github.com/AtlasPublicPolicy/charging-use-spec/blob/main/core-specification/registration-and-session-data-reference.md#site-registration

Session data: https://github.com/AtlasPublicPolicy/charging-use-spec/blob/main/core-specification/registration-and-session-data-reference.md#session-data

  • Atlas collecting dissimilar data from private companies and converting into their spec format
  • Possible for charging ebikes but nothing right now
  • Joint Office funding and require data, have some requirements around uptime and a few other things, but won’t go into this level of detail now. Could help states or do it on their behalf, but they might not want fed control. Responsibility of states at this point.

Umojo Rick Neubauer - building towards OCCP now, Atlas is complimentary to this with session data

Sample language

OCPP is more about interoperability for customers. Atlas is about how to measure.

Discussion

AGH - NEVI formula dollars going to states was the initial focus for funding and implementation, but now competitive CFI Program (Community Grants) eligible for cities or counties to fund EV charging infrastructure in the right of way is now available. Tries to avoid those walled gardens.

Omaha is using the charge point feed

Increment duration could be noted as being a value of ‘1’ by default if not specified.

Populus to propose a max_amount field for rates in a new Issue
