Aurora can scroll messages stored on the microSD card over any content.

The easiest way to add custom messages is to edit the messages.txt file that is created automatically when running Aurora 1.6 or later. Edit the file with a text editor. Each line is a separate message that can be selected using the overlay button. The messages will be shown with the default look, white text scrolling from right to left in center of the display at a moderate speed.

If you don't want any messages, delete the content of the messages.txt file, but don't delete the file itself as it will be created again with some default messages every time Aurora restarts.

To customize the look of messages, you can create a /messages folder in the root of the microSD card. Make a new .txt or .js file per message. For more details, see the README.md file in the /messages folder of the Aurora release.
