Progression
The player starts at the overworld. The metallurgist's table should require some resources such that leather armor and stone tools is a worthwhile investment.
Note
Leather armor should probably be buffed, both in effectiveness and in how easy it is to acquire. Ideally should not require cows or horses.
Available resources:
- Iron. Workable and durable base, but heavy and weathers easily.
- Gold. Mix in for strength, but heavy and not durable. Does not weather.
- Aluminum. Light weight, and slows alloy weathering. Found under oceans.
- Copper? I do not think there is a missing role.
Neither the Nether or the End have additional resources.
Using a beacon, the player can access Meridian. Strewn across the Meridian desert are stones which can only be broken with TNT. These stones contain resources necessary for unknown.
Requiring a beacon and something from Meridian, the player can go to Char, where two main resources can be found:
- the last ingredients for Aerogel, which greatly increases temperature resistance and is extremely light.
- Vanadium, general purpose base but must be refined
Without aerogel, Char is only habitable with potions of fire resistance.
"Requiring" just a beacon, the player can go to Cauldron, which is not habitable without aerogel. Here these resources can be found:
