GENESIS 1.3 is a time-dependent, 3D code for the simulation of FELs. It specializes in simulating single-pass FELs, both amplifiers and SASEs. It can also be extended to cover FEL oscillators or multi-stage set-ups. Genesis 1.3 has its origin in the 2D code TDA3D, and is intended to replace the earlier code, having relatable input and output formats.
The code was written by Sevn Reiche at DESY, Germany, with further extensions by staff at UCLA and DESY. This information and more can be found in the Genesis 1.3 homepage.
