3D View

As one can see from the screen shot above, 3D View consists 3 parts, the main view, the option box on the top left corner, and a legend for the color scale.

you could zoom, rotate and pan the view as much as you like to get the best view

Change the settings of the 3D view

Color Basis

The property of which the color code is based on. the default is the density itself, but you can change to any other descriptor you like, as long as it's listed in the view setup file

Color Scheme

Color scheme of the color code. There are currently 4 choices: rainbow, cooltowarm, blackbody and grayscale, with rainbow being the default.

Specify number of repeated units in each dimension

Point Cloud Control

Detailed control of the point cloud. Please try tweak with all of them yourself, and find the best view!

  • Density: density of the points
  • Opacity: transparency of the points
  • Size: size of the points
  • Color Scale Min/Max: change the upper and lower bound of the color code.
  • Animate: Try it!

Slider control

  • x low: lower limit of x. points with x-coordinate below will not be plotted
  • x high: higher limit of x. points with x-coordinate above will not be plotted
  • x slider: look at the system slice by slice in x-axis

Detailed control

  • Control the setup, position of the legend
  • change the background color
