I think this might lead to confusion the other way - it can only override a method when it implements the type, rather than implementing the method directly. How about this?

But then this is talking about dynamically typed languages as opposed to rust - they would have some sort of type system but not necessarily traits, wouldn't they?

This should be type; it's not referring to rust.
