128.0.6613.114: new chromium version #1410

commit: 38b3395 changes:

So will Cromite now show a popup before opening external apps? |
with the option activated, cromite will not ask for it and will not open applications via intent, otherwise it behaves like chrome. |
Is it possible to make a confirmation button before redirecting like Firefox and Quetta (Chromium)? |
This version seems to be working fine with cookies enabled.. thank you so much @uazo |
I remind you that you should ONLY enable that option if you somehow authenticate yourself to the site, otherwise you differ from (I think and hope) all the other cromite who have that option disabled by default. |
Please why don't you add the translation of the webpage, we need it very much and I don't dispense with cromite Please add it, Mr. @uazo |
already replied, and several times, see #97 (comment) |
Cromite has lost all of its settings, extensions etc. after the latest update.. welp! P.S.: I would have like to share screenshots, but looks like this isn't allowed here. |
windows? is because of the change in the default profile folder, from "chromium" to "cromite". is correct, you were previously sharing the folder with chromium, which is not correct. |

Bru, I have "millions" of individual settings and extensions, you can't be real. Anyway, the mystery is solved, thanks for the explaination. Edit: Just found it, all of my extensions etc. HAVE been automatically copied to the "new" Cromite folder, but Cromite doesn't seem to recognise it..?

bad :) this browser is designed to leave the defaults intact as much as possible. i will have to find a way to warn users. |

The please update instruction about using chrlauncher. It still mention Chromium as user data folder. |
Will this be the correction? #1419 |
The latest version causes the browser to freeze up and use upwards of 6GB of RAM and 50% CPU usage after migrating the User Data folder to the new location, and I have a feeling the issue lies with the Chromium user data folder being changed. Please provide a build of the latest version that uses the same directories as the below version, as it works fine: I do not care if "sharing the folder with Chromium is dangerous", as I do not use any other browser other than Cromite and Librewolf, so let me take that risk, I implore you. Update: |
|
Well it does for me and I am not happy, I don't want my browser to be inoperable and I am certainly not starting fresh, I have mission critical data on it. We should be given the option to migrate to the new folder or not, as clearly something I have is not compatible with just "moving" the folder. Update: |
To add insult to injury, using As I previously made abundantly obvious, clearly something in my profile is reliant, for some reason, on the user data directory being the same as when it was first set up (in AppData/Local/Chromium) and therefore makes it impossible for me to upgrade to future versions. Therefore, I hope this change is rolled back as soon as possible so that I am not left in a security patch blackhole here. Update: |
