Mainnet Roadmap

Our path to mainnet has three phases:

• Cleanup Phase where we fix final architectural changes that we want to make prior to audit
• Test Phase where we lock our architecture and test everything as much as possible
• Audit Phase in which we fix issues that our auditors highlight and work on non-security-critical components such as our frontend and whitepaper.

Cleanup Phase

November 27th - December 22th

• Upgrade to Cosmos SDK 0.50 #974
• ETH encoding of the proofs (instead of protobuf) Optimize membership proof verification cost in EVM #109
• Choose which Ethereum headers to track in Ethereum light client #1050
• Voyager refactor required for relaying to simd #980

Testing Phase

December 13th - January 14th

• Add code coverage reports to all auditable components #981
• Test everything, add tons of unit tests, tons of e2e tests
• Document everything
• Integrate interchaintest #1011

Audit Phase

January 15th - February 29th*

NOTE: Since the cleanup phase took longer than expected, audit might start 1-2 weeks later such that we will have sufficient time to test everything. If possible, we'll parallize testing and auditing by already auditing components that are finished

• Fix all issues that pop up during audit

Work on non-audit-critical components:

• Finish Hubble Ethereum indexing
• Work on explorer integrations
• Work on creating a sleek frontend
• Polish Keplr/Metamask integration
• Polish the whitepaper (add the updated benchmarks etc)

*audit duration will depend on which auditor we pick, but we assume 6 weeks
