Steps to reproduce

When reopening the app by taping notification or the app icon or by switching apps, the current displayed room can show an empty timeline:

1.8.8 but I saw it on earlier version

@manuroe Does the timeline show itself if you return to the room list and open the room again? Or does it need a force quit/clear cache to fix?

If you reopen the room from the room list, the timeline is displayed correctly.

Just wanted to let you that we have the same problem here. Same iOS version as far as I can tell but an iphone 7. Sometimes a force quit seems to be required to show the timeline again.

It looks to be part of the chronic issues. I increased the severity to treat as a P1.

Sadly, I got the issue only during weekends. See the linked rageshakes.
I wonder if it is related to a space selection. I mainly use my "Friends & Family" space on weekends.

This can be reproduced on a device by

  1. Enabling the Network Link Conditioner with the Very Bad Network preset.
  2. Tapping any notification from Notification Centre to launch the app.

Edit: There seems to be another condition required for this to be 100% reproducible 😞
