Notes

  • Joerg opened the meeting with a warm welcome and welcomed Rosie from the WMO Secretariat
  • Anna provided a status update on the fast-track proposals with FT2025-1 going to NFPs for the next two months and FT2025-2 to be ready by June.
  • Jeff provided an overview of the sea ice proposals
  • Updates
    • Thinesh said he will aggregate new requirements from OSCAR/Surface and bring to this team for FT2025-2; Joerg asked Thinesh to follow up with updates that haven't been introduced in the O/S yet;
    • Gao and Joerg will attend an I-Adopt workshop in March; Washington noted that Phillipe from hydrology will be attending too
    • Washington: struggling with identifying a station type for groundwater; Joerg recommends using landFixed or landMobile or open an issue with a proposal; Gao recommends updating the definitions to incorporate groundwater; Johanna reiterated that existing codes could work with an updated definition;
  • The team reviewed the following issues that are in progress (see notes in comments)
  • The team briefly viewed the newly submitted issues and some of them were assigned to team members
