Polished calcite and smooth calcite are new building blocks crafted from calcite. Each can be made into stairs and slabs (as well as walls for polished calcite) and gives your builds a clean marble look. |
Brick mosaics are new variants of brick blocks. They sport a nice tiled appearance similar to bamboo mosaics and can be made into stairs and slabs. |
Blocks of charcoal are compact forms crafted from four pieces of charcoal. They can be used as a super-fuel in furnaces or destroyed to convert back into charcoal. Blocks of charcoal may sometimes be produced when a log, wood, a bamboo block, or a stick bale burns up due to fire. This can provide some fun loot when finding a lava pool... or when burning down a friend's house. |
Stick bales are new storage blocks for sticks. They can be used as fuel in a furnace or smelted into charcoal. Stick bales are also sometimes found in taiga and snowy villages. Stick bales, like hay bales, can be placed underneath a campfire to create a signal fire. |
Glass doors and trapdoors function similarly to their wooden counterparts but cannot be opened or powered by redstone. Unlike glass, glass doors and trapdoors do drop themselves when destroyed. Stained glass doors and trapdoors can be made by dyeing glass doors or trapdoors or by crafting them with stained glass. |
Smooth copper is a new copper building block obtained by smelting or kilning any cut copper. It can oxidize over time, be waxed, and be made into stairs and slabs. |
Polished End stone is a new decorative variant of End stone. It can be made into stairs, slabs, and walls and is used to craft End stone bricks. Like End stone, polished End stone is immune to the Ender dragon. |
Jack o'lanterns can be crafted with soul torches and carved pumpkins to give off an eerie blue glow. Like other soul fire-related blocks, piglins will flee from soul jack o'lanterns. |
Fences can be made from red Nether bricks, like normal Nether bricks. |
Several vanilla blocks have received stair, slab, and wall variants. Terracotta stairs and slabs can be made from all 17 colors of terracotta. |
More cracked bricks have been added as variants for vanilla blocks. More cracked bricks can be found in vanilla structures as well:
