Updating
When a new version of Timeline is released, here's how to update it.
I suggest you create a backup of your scene. While I do my best to avoid breaking changes, I can screw up!
https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/timeline.94/history
- If your scene is currently opened, save your scene, and re-open it (otherwise you'll lose all changes since the last time you opened it)
- Under every atom containing Timeline, use Select file and select the new version
- Once every atom has been updated, check that everything still works. You can save your scene, it's now referencing the latest version!
NOTE: If when you load the new Timeline version, it shows up as empty, this means the Timeline plugin has changed order since it was created (e.g. you deleted plugins before Timeline on the atom). This technique won't work so you'll have to use method 2.
You can exit vam, delete the old version's var file. When you re-open your scene, VaM will automatically point to the latest Timeline version available.
NOTE: You can also just reload all packages after deleting the old var, and reload the scene if you know what you're doing.
Alternatively, you can "find an replace" in the scene's json.
