Coupled FVM-FEM aerothermoelastic simulation (T. Wuilbaut)

Aerothermoelastic analysis of ESA EXPERT vehicle (M=13.5) by T. Wuilbaut considering:

  • chemically reactive flow (FVM)
  • conjugate heat transfer (FEM)
  • thermal expansion of Thermal Protection System (FEM)
  • mesh deformation solving a pseudo-elastic system (FEM)
  • non-matching interfaces between flow and material.
