Update GraphQL API import and refactor GraphQL call expressions

Problem

We are importing API library with import { API } from '@aws-amplify/api'; while Amplify docs use import { API } from 'aws-amplify';

There is a lot of duplicate code for creating the following codegen code:

API.graphql({
  query: createTodo,
  variables: {
    input: {
      modelFields
    }
  }
});

Solution

Update import to aws-amplify to align with Amplify docs.

Refactor GraphQL call expressions to one common function to cut down on duplicate code.

Additional Notes

Import pluralize to pluralize model names for GraphQL list queries, this matches what is being done in @aws-amplify/appsync-modelgen-plugin
