Personal Info

• Hello, I am Yusuf Kağan Çiçekdağ. I am a fourth year computer engineering student with a double major in mathematics.
• I am deeply interested in maths, and during my secondary education and high school, I joined various national & international olympiads and got many degrees. The most prestigious one (indeed the most prestigious math competition in the world) of them was IMO (International Math Olympiad) where each country has a team of (at most) 6 people representing their country (individually). I had joined this competition twice, and got 1 silver 1 bronze medal there. Some other math olympiad competitions I have participated include Balkan Math Olympiad, National Math Olympiad, AIMO (Asian International Math Olympiad), and many others.
• I am currently conducting research in NETLAB about molecular communication (under H.Birkan Yılmaz)
• Some other (academic) topics of my interest include
• • Computer Engineering/Science: Machine learning/Deep learning, Cyber security and networks.
• • Maths: Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, (to some extent) Analysis

Hobbies

• Playing chess (and sometimes go)
• Playing computer games (guess what my nickname is :) )
• Listening to various types of music (when combined with walking, it is way more enjoyable)
• Watching anime (my favourite one)
• Doing some sports like:
• • football (as goalkeeper or defense)
• • billards (if I can find someone else to play with)
• • cycling
• • waterpolo, etc.
• Travelling to interesting places
• • Can be inside a city, country or a planet, it doesn't matter :)
• • Probably better in case I walk, rather than using mechanic transportation vehicles
