With DIY electronics, it's way too easy to accidentally short-circuit a power supply and even cause an electrical fire. Protect and monitor your robot's power with a 3DP switched and fused power distribution panel that mounts directly to standard 20mm extrusion. Features include:
- Lighted on/off switch
- Backlit power meter (A, V, W, Wh)
- ATO blade fuse holder for 5-10A fuse
- 12-20VDC 2.1x5.5mm male coaxial (barrel) recessed input power connector (1)
- 2.1x5.5mm coaxial (barrel) switched output power connector (2)

The panel shown was constructed using the following parts, but feel free to choose similar parts with matching dimensions.
- M5x10mm flathead screw (2)
- M5 extrusion nut (2)
- ATO 5A blade fuse
- Lighted Switch
- Blade fuse holder
- Multimeter
- DC Jack 5.5x2.1mm (3)
- 18AWG solid red wire
- 18AWG solid black wire
- Female spade red crimp connector (3)
- Consult picture for wiring details
- Screw barrel plug connectors into panel BEFORE soldering. The input power plug is recessed and should be soldered in place
- Lighted switch wiring is always confusing--consult manufacturer instructions for location of grounded terminal
- The fuse crimps are designed for 14AWG @ 20A, which is way overkill for a 5A project. Use 18AWG wire by simply folding over and doubling 1/2" of stripped wire to hold the crimp.
