Speech recognition tools/sites

....in addition to sphinx (of course)

    • Simon** - for linux , recognition and training GUI suite (includes other works)
http://simon-listens.org/
    • Julius** seems to be the best core of all (sphinx alternative ?) well documented, a clear API and cross platform ...

Face Animation

Oh and for a face the best bet I found is R.U.T.H. RUTH and MH http://www.cs.rutgers.edu/%7Evillage/ruth/ image:ruth.png caption="Meet RUTH from Rutgers" RUTH 1.0 is now available (on Solaris, Windows and Linux platforms)

The License Agreement reads partially as follows .... r//oyalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Software solely for a Non-Commercial Purpose:// And includes language about derivative works, as long as they are not 'commercial'. They can be contacted for permission to include it either wholy or in part (or as an optional overlay?)
