Fist of Five is a quick way to vote and work towards consensus. It's how we decide things together.

When a question comes up, everyone votes by holding up 0 to 5 fingers:

  • 5: I love this idea, and I'm willing to take the lead on doing the work.
  • 4: I like this idea, and will support it.
  • 3: I'm ok with this. Let's move on.
  • 2: I have minor concerns with this. Let's talk more.
  • 1: I have major concerns with this. Let's talk more.
  • Fist: No. Let's not do this.
