Motion to approve previous meeting minutes from April 11, 2019

KMIP Webinar (Tony C/Judy F)

• Tony C and Judy F presented a KMIP Webinar on 15 April 2018 for OASIS.
• The webinar was recorded and now posted on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Hrhj-dju1HU
• Please feel free to distribute this link for educational purposes on KMIP and KMIP 2.0 changes.

KMIP 2.0

• Tony C noted that TC Admin is preparing the KMIP 2.0 Spec and KMIP 2.0 Profiles documents for Public Review. Tony C hopes that these reviews will commence next week.
• Brief discussion on whether the KMIP 2.0 Test Cases and KMIP 2.0 Usage Guide documents were ready to progress to Committee Note Drafts. The editors of these documents and the TC members agreed that the documents were ready to progress to the next stage.

Motion for the TC to approve KMIP Test Cases V2.0 WD02 (https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/kmip/download.php/65125) and all associated artifacts (kmip-testcases-v2.0-wd07.zip: https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/kmip/download.php/65000)) packaged together as a Committee Note Draft and designate the .doc version of the test cases as authoritative.

• Tim H moves, Tim C seconds, No objections, abstentions, or comments. Motion approved

Motion for the TC to approve KMIP Usage Guide V2.0 WD04 (https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/kmip/download.php/65167) and all associated artifacts packaged together as a Committee Note Draft and designate the .doc version of the usage guide as authoritative.

• Tim H moves, Tim C seconds, No objections, abstentions, or comments. Motion approved

KMIP 2.1

• TC Admin will get us KMIP 2.1 starter documents, but the TC needs to vote on editors for these documents in order for the TC Chair to complete the starter document request forms.

• The TC discussed nominations for editors. The existing KMIP 2.0 editors on the call agreed to continue in these roles and several additional TC members offered their services for KMIP 2.1. The following TC members were nominated and accepted the editor roles for the KMIP 2.1 documents.

  • KMIP 2.1 Profiles: Tim H & Tim C

  • KMIP 2.1 Test Cases: Tim H & Tim C
    Note:  Mark J who was a KMIP 2.0 co-editor of the Test Cases was not on call.  The TC will check to see if he wishes to continue as co-editor and can nominate him at a future meeting.

  • KMIP 2.1 Usage Guides Judy F & Jeff B

Motion to elect the nominated TC members noted above as the co-editors of the KMIP 2.1 documents

KMIP v1.4 Errata (Tony C)

• Tony C has discussed the Errata with TC Admin and he has some homework to do on this which he has started.

• Judy F noted that she would be unable to take minutes at next week's meeting. Chuck W offered to take the minutes instead.
