- NISTT 800-152 and PCI-DSS 3.1 disallows TLS 1.0 post June 2016
- KMIP TC and documentation needs to be updated to reflect this
- Tim H.: SNIA requires TLS 1.2, we should update the documents as Must Have TLS 1.2, May Have TLS 1.1 and Should not TLS 1.0
- Gerry: Align with NIST and we are good
- Tim: Provide additional guidance in the Usage guide
- Steve Weirenga: KMIP Wiki lists known KMIP implementations, so will there be any effort to notify them about this change proactively?
- Bruce: This is a marketing effort, respective product managers should be pro-active to update information on this page
- Saikat: Originally, driver for adding this list on the KMIP TC web page was to demonstrate KMIP is widely deployed across the industry. We should not make any effort to shorten the list which will go against the original driver
- Tim H.: Perhaps we should add protocol version each product supports and each product's KMIP protocol version
- Tony: We should consider at some point in the future to deprecate TLS 1.0 as well
- Make SkipJack and 2 Key 3DES optional in the KMIP 1.3 profiles document
- Defer to next week's call since Bob is not on the call
- Saikat or Tony did not get a chance for the straw Poll for the two dates between Feb 24/25 and Feb 25/26
- Since PKCS#11 TC has already finalized on February 26th, we are left with the only option of Feb 24/25. Hence, no need for straw poll
- Make a motion to host the face to face on February 24/25
