This exception message was written with the assumption that the exception name would be printed before it, and was very confusing without that.

Most of these deleted tests are now tested in core, and only the tests which are actually testing something about the object store migration logic remain here.

Reindenting makes this all marked as modified, but the actual change here is switching to use GENERATOR()

The AdditiveExplicit case here is just a schema validation error and is tested in the tests for that.

This was previously trying to change to Float, which actually threw a schema validation error because the property is indexed.

This test case was testing local Realm migrations on a feature that's not supported in local Realms, which isn't something that makes sense to test.

No, I specifically extracted this from that because I ended up making a pile of changes unrelated to adopting exception unification. |

Yeah, it could probably use a better name. I think the original idea was to "convert" an object from one Realm to another Realm, and then the name stuck around on a lot of things. Maybe "copier" or "upserter" might be better.

We don't need to have the entire list populated to throw these exceptions, can we move this check on !handle_backlinks

💯
EmbeddedObjectConverter::process_pending() had a cache of InterRealmObjectConverter instances per table, but always created a new one each time before checking the cache, which made the cache entirely pointless.
…le_backlinks_in_migrations
Table and ObjectStore each had their own, different, checks for objects with invalid backlinks for converting to embedded. Combine these into a single place in Table::set_embedded(), add more focused tests for this, and improve the error messages.
Check the exception message for all exceptions thrown in migration tests and fix a pile of tests which weren't testing what they intended to be testing.

The two modes will recover local/unsynced changes with changes from the server if possible. If not possible, <code>RecoverOrDiscardUnsyncedChanges</code> will remove the local Realm file and download a fresh file from the server. (<a href="https://snyk.io/redirect/github/realm/realm-core/pulls/5166">realm/realm-core#5166</a>)</li> <li>Cut the runtime of aggregate operations on large dictionaries in half. As part of adopting exception unification in Cocoa I've been going through all of the object store tests and making them verify that the expected exception is thrown rather than using
REQUIRE_THROWS()
, as there's been a pile of places where the wrong exception is thrown which was caught by the Cocoa tests and could have bene caught by the OS tests. Unsurprisingly, this revealed some tests which didn't actually test the thing they were testing, and some error cases which threw unhelpful exceptions.This also has some assorted cleanup stuff extracted from that branch.
