Technical Support Guidelines

On this page you will find information and guidelines for how to request technical support for the FLIP Fluids addon. We can only provide technical support for versions of the addon that have been distributed on official marketplaces of the FLIP Fluids addon.

The purpose of these guidelines is to streamline the process of reporting bugs/issues, troubleshooting scene issues, requesting features, and submitting questions/comments so that we have all of the necessary information in your request in order to help you as quickly as possible. Before requesting support, please read through the relevant guidelines. If your request for technical support does not adhere to the guidelines, your request may take longer to fulfill.

Support and Development Hours

This section will detail our current support/business hours, and support status. Our typical response time is within 1 business day, but this may be extended briefly in periods of high support volume, during development breaks, or during vacations. Times listed are in the Pacific Time (PT) zone. If you send us a message before opening, you will typically receive a response on the same day.

Reporting Bugs and Issues

Have you found an issue or bug within the FLIP Fluids addon? We would love to hear about it, so that the bug can be fixed and handled correctly. Bug report submissions will only be accepted through the marketplace where you have purchased the FLIP Fluids addon, through the GitHub Issue Tracker, through the support form, or by email at support[at]flipfluids.com.

Scene Troubleshooting

Are you having trouble with a simulation setup, need guidance on simulation settings, or require advice on how to execute an idea? You may request scene troubleshooting help. Scene troubleshooting help requests will only be accepted through the marketplace where you have purchased the FLIP Fluids addon, through the support form, or by email at support[at]flipfluids.com.

Feature Requests

If you have an idea for a useful feature, or would like something changed within the addon, please let us know by making a feature request! To make a feature request, you may contact us through the marketplace where you have purchased the FLIP Fluids addon, on our Blender Artists thread, through the support form, by email at support[at]flipfluids.com, or through our Facebook and Twitter.
