User Identification

A user ID is a word we will use to identify your user on the website.

What is it for?

whenever your user posts something, such as a comment, a new video, a chat message, etc. we will use this word to refer to him.

What is the User Identification priority

Currently, the identification will follow the following priority, moving to the next option if the previous priority is empty.

  1. Real user's name (the name field on the user´s profile, different from login username)
  2. User's email
  3. Username (the same one used to log in)
  4. Channel name
  5. Unknown User (if all above fail we will return this)

Hide some of the User Identification options

If you want any of these options to be ignored, you can select the options (doNotIdentifyByName, doNotIdentifyByEmail, doNotIdentifyByUserName) in the customizeAdvanced plugin
