Commit 84c1754 (ext4: move work from io_end to inode) triggered a regression when running xfstest #270 when the file system is mounted with dioread_nolock. The problem is that after ext4_evict_inode() calls ext4_ioend_wait(), this guarantees that last io_end structure has been freed, but it does not guarantee that the workqueue structure, which was moved into the inode by commit 84c1754, is actually finished. Once ext4_flush_completed_IO() calls ext4_free_io_end() on CPU #1, this will allow ext4_ioend_wait() to return on CPU #2, at which point the evict_inode() codepath can race against the workqueue code on CPU #1 accessing EXT4_I(inode)->i_unwritten_work to find the next item of work to do. Fix this by calling cancel_work_sync() in ext4_ioend_wait(), which will be renamed ext4_ioend_shutdown(), since it is only used by ext4_evict_inode(). Also, move the call to ext4_ioend_shutdown() until after truncate_inode_pages() and filemap_write_and_wait() are called, to make sure all dirty pages have been written back and flushed from the page cache first. copied the dw2102.c file to the suse kernel sources 3.11.0-rc2-2.g3fb567f-desktop and compiled the modules in drivers/media/usb/dvb-usb new and copied the files to /lib/modules/... |
after recompiling the hole kernel with modules the driver is installed automaticaly by modprobe. Installing additional xine files solves the problem with kaffeine. Great Job!!! |
Mainline is now 4.0.y - dw2102 is now available by default. |
commit 83cf421 upstream. vfnum buffer size and binary_len buffer size is received by user-space. So, this buffer size could be too large. If so, kmalloc will internally print a warning message. This warning message is actually not necessary for the netdevsim module. So, this patch adds __GFP_NOWARN. Add a new test case which performs double query of the bpf_mprog through libbpf API, but also via raw bpf(2) syscall. This is testing to gather first the count and then in a subsequent probe the full information with the program array without clearing passed structs in between. # ./vmtest.sh -- ./test_progs -t tc_opts [...] ./test_progs -t tc_opts [ 1.398818] tsc: Refined TSC clocksource calibration: 3407.999 MHz [ 1.400263] clocksource: tsc: mask: 0xffffffffffffffff max_cycles: 0x311fd336761, max_idle_ns: 440795243819 ns [ 1.402734] clocksource: Switched to clocksource tsc [ 1.426639] bpf_testmod: loading out-of-tree module taints kernel. To whom it may concern:
I have taken the SU3000 USB DVB-S dw2102.c, ds3000.c and ts2020.c drivers from www.kernel.org, 3.9-rc6 and backported them into RPI kernel 3.6.y.
Plus I made additions to dw2102.c to recognize Hauppage USB DVB-S device with vendor ID 0x2040 and product ID 0xd900 to be a SU3000 / DS3000 device.
Tested and works well.
Cheers
