Buy a Guzunty

WOW, thank you all for your support. I have been both surprised and thrilled by the interest in the Guzunty board.

However, I’m sorry to say that I have been forced to suspend sales of Guzunty kits because of a shortage of the CPLD part that forms the heart of the Guzunty.

When Xilinx announced the discontinuation of the PLC44 variant of the XC9572XL two years ago, we knew the clock would be ticking. I am now unable to locate any reliable parts at anything close to its previous price.

I will continue to search for a source of parts, but this is likely the end of the design in its current form.

I do have an alternative design using the surface mount variant of the XC9572XL which will likely be around for the foreseeable future. However, surface mount soldering requires a steady hand that may put a lot of people off.

If you are disappointed that the Guzunty is unavailable and would like to see a surface mount variant, please let me know by adding a comment to issue #50 here on the Guzunty GitHub site.
