1. Intro

Main points about using gdrive:

  • gdrive serves as a storage point for PTSmove
  • gdrive serves as a backup & restore point for all generated data
  • gdrive is mandatory even if only using team drives (tdrive)

By default, you can utilize rclone without using your own keys. As of October 2018, it has been reported that Google has rated limited rclones' default keys due to over extensive use. It is recommended that you generate and utilize your own keys!

2. Special Commands

  • Typing sudo sgdrive & pressing ENTER shows you the gdrive status.
  • Typing sudo ngdrive & pressing ENTER shows you the gdrive mount code.
  • Typing sudo systemctl restart gdrive & pressing ENTER shows you the gdrive status.

3. PTS Clone Notice

As of PTS 7.4, PTS takes care of the gdrive for the user! No more manual editing, but we will keep the manual instructions below. PTS Clone makes it that simple. Just have your Google OAuth Keys ready, select gdrive, deploy, and that's it!
