1. Intro

A newsgroup / torrent managing program that downloads NZB files and works normally in conjunction with programs such as Sonarr, Radarr, and Lidarr to track, download, extract, and complete the assembly of a requested file. SABnzbd is known for it's easy to use user interface.

2. Access Information

In order to use simply "sabnzbd" in your Sonarr or Radarr configurations for the downloader client, you will need to edit your sabnzbd.ini file (stored in /opt/appdata/sabnzbd) to add "sabnzbd" to your hostlist (i.e. host_whitelist = sabnzbd.domain.com, sabnzbd). EDITOR Note: similar may be needed for torrent clients but nobody can confirm?

A. Recommended News Servers

Here are top 5 tier news-server recommended by PlexGuide! Very well known for completion and speeds:

1. NewsHosting
2. UseNetServer
3. EasyNews
4. Pure USENet
5. XLNED

B. NewsGroup Configuration

NOTE: Starting with v8.1, plexguide will autoconfigure the paths, categories, and some essential settings by default.

• Host: Type the Name of Your News Server (i.e news.newshosting.com)
• Port: 563 or 443 for security
• Enter all your other basic info, server link, username and password
• Connections: Stay 2 or 3 under your max. If exact, you will get errors
• Priority: Leave this alone unless you know what you area doing
• [Click] Test Server
• [Fails] Something stupid. Either the SSL, wrong port, wrong username, and etc
• [Passes] Click the (Add Server) and then click the checkmark box at the top

Incase you are uPTSrading or change the paths and it's causing problems, here are the default paths to assist you!

Categories do not need to specify a path, by default it uses downloadPath/categoryName when not set!
