1. Intro

A newsgroup / torrent managing program that downloads NZBGet files and works normally in conjunction with programs such as Sonarr, Radarr, and Lidarr to track, download, extract, and complete the assembly of a requested file. NZBGet is known for it's stability and is a top recommended for use of PlexGuide over SABNZBD.

Goto Settings in the upper right corner and then select the following News-Server from the left.

A. News-Servers

(1). Recommended News Servers

Here are top 5 tier news-server recommended by PlexGuide! Very well known for completion and speeds:

  1. NewsHosting
  2. UseNetServer
  3. EasyNews
  4. Pure USENet
  5. XLNED

(2). NewsGroup Configuration

NOTE: Starting with v8.1, plexguide will autoconfigure the paths, categories, and some essential settings by default.

  • News Server: Type the Name of Your News Server (i.e news.newshosting.com)
  • Port: 563 or 443 for security
  • Encryption: Turn to [ ON ]
  • Enter all your other basic info, server link, username and password
  • When finished, click test server
  • Save all changes when finished

B. Security

  • Security > User
  • Change Username & Password
  • Save all changes when finished

5. Default Paths(configured automatically)

NOTE: Starting with v8.1, plexguide will autoconfigure the paths, categories, and some essential settings by default. Incase you are uPTSrading or change the paths and it's causing problems, here are the default paths to assist you!

Categories do not need to specify a path, by default it uses downloadPath/categoryName when not set!
