This page contains a brief summary of the status of the Xolotl development team each morning during the month of August 2014.
Crystal - Fixing the HDF5 linking issues on Titan. Working on global sensitivity analysis of Xolotl's inputs.
Crystal - Working on the binding energies in the preprocessor. Fixing the diffusion coefficient values in the preprocessor.
Sophie - Adding tests for options and xolotlCore. Changing all the names in HDF5Utils.
Sophie - Trying some optimizations in xolotlCore and meeting with Jeremy about the visualization.
Crystal - Committing the implementation of the Legendre formation energy fit in the preprocessor. Trying some optimizations for the fluxHandler.
Sophie - Testing Xolotl and looking at xolotlViz to clean it up. Reading about GPU.
Crystal - Continuing the optimizations for the fluxHandler.
Sophie - Testing Xolotl some more. Merging the performance optimization branch in the trunk. Adding the ability to read a HDF5 file to the preprocessor.
Crystal - Working on compiling the java preprocessor with cmake.
Sophie - Figuring out why Xolotl does not work using the checkpoint restart in parallel.
Sophie - Adding test in the preprocessor for the new HDF5 capabilities. Doing more tests with Xolotl.
Crystal - Continuing to work on compiling the java preprocessor with cmake. Linking the Petsc option to the HDF5 file for the grid size in the preprocessor.
Crystal - Running Xolotl to obtain results to compare with atomistic simulation. Committing the java compilation with cmake.
Sophie - Running Xolotl to obtain results to compare with atomistic simulation. Reading about multigrids.
Sophie - Changing the place where the help messages are created in Xolotl's options. Fixing the test of the flux for HeInterstitialCluster. And meeting with the atomistic simulation people.
Crystal - Fixing the He diffusion computation to reflect the modification that He clusters larger than 6 do not diffuse (and not large than 5). And adding a monitor to print when the max cluster concentration first changes.
Crystal - Finishing the monitor to print when the max cluster concentration first changes.
Sophie - Fitting the implantation flux from atomistic simulation. Generating plots to compare with atomistic results.
Sophie - Implementing the fluxes that are used in MD simulations. Looking at nightly build for Xolotl.
Crystal - Investigating why Xolotl give slightly different results when running in serial or parallel.
Crystal - Overloading the streaming operator for clusters. Testing the monitor to print when the max cluster concentration first changes.
Sophie - Improving the part of the preprocessor that can copy from an existing HDF5 file. Thinking about how to have the different tungsten fluxes.
Sophie - Working on the preprocessor for it to copy an existing HDF5 file.
Crystal - Fixing a bug in the monitor to print when the max cluster concentration first changes. Commiting the streaming overload operator for the reactants.
Crystal - Looking at adding JUnit to CMake for the preprocessor tests and nightly build system for Xolotl.
Sophie - Adding helium implantation flux for another surface orientation from MD data. Adding a test for partial derivatives in the TungstenIntegrationTester.
Sophie - Trying to create the nightly build system for Xolotl. Meeting with Donghua to be able to compare results with Paraspace.
Crystal - Working on JUnit with CMake.
Sophie - Making Jenkins send emails. Looking at I binding energies.
Sophie - Looking at a Java CMake problem breaking the build on other machines. Trying to make Xolotl find Mesa on Titan.
