This page contains a brief summary of the status of the Xolotl development team each morning during the month of May 2016.
Ozgur - Working on THDS simulations with new PETSC options.
Sophie - Creating unit tests for the modified trap mutation on GB and trying it on Eos.
Sophie - Checking that everything works well with the bubble bursting combined with grouping method.
Ozgur - Trying to solve the UQ forward propagation run error.
Sophie - Continuing to check everything works well with the bubble bursting combined with grouping method. Running long simulations at low flux to see when the network saturates.
Ozgur - Focusing on the UQ presentation for the SNL visit.
Ozgur - Continuing to work on UQ presentation for SNL, and UQ report with more technical details.
Sophie - Looking at why the modified trap mutation on GB makes Xolotl so slow.
Sophie - Fixing the modified trap mutation implementation on the GB.
Ozgur - Running UQ script with different helium fluxes.
Sophie - Finishing to fix the modified trap mutation implementation on the GB. Testing the new PETSc options.
Ozgur - Continuing to run UQ script for Xolotl with different options.
Sophie - Continuing to test the new PETSc options. Working on the final version of the FST paper.
Ozgur - Preparing a laptop for next week's SNL visit. Installing Xolotl and UQTk. Resolving UQTk installation problem in Mac. Starting to review Habib's Bayesian inference lectures.
Ozgur - Installing the new version of UQTk (UQTk v 3.0). Learning about the nef features.
Sophie - Finishing the poster for the PSI conference.
Sophie - Working on the tutorial session for the July summer school with Xolotl.
Sophie - Working on black and white figures for the final version of the FST paper. Finishing the PSI poster.
Sophie - Creating a new wiki page for the tutorial. Fixing the problem Xolotl had with big network files.
Sophie - Submitting the final version of the FST paper. Working on the new PETSc solver options.
Ozgur - Writing a few parametric fit scripts which will be used in model-error correction model.
Sophie - Setting up a 3D Xolot simulation to benchmark in 3D. Working on tutorial slides.
Ozgur - Continuing on new UQ scripts. Assembling Weibul, log-normal, and Gumbel fitting lines into one script, arranging the script for selecting parametric fit options, and testing a few cases for parameter inference. Applying them on MD and SRIM data.
Sophie - Testing the grouping method with larger networks and variable size grouping.
Ozgur - Continuing to work on UQ tests, running it with separate MD and SRIM data, trying to find appropriate parameters for each of them to achieve convergence.
Ozgur - Working on three likelihood types to use in parameter inference.
Sophie - Saving the information to reproduce the 2D results in the svn directory. Continuing on large network with grouping method.
Ozgur - Writing down the methodology and generating a few sample results for UQ for incident helium flux using standard likelihood.
