Book Solution Pack Roadmap May 16, 2012

• Most work is complete - Two CModels that are page aware. Paul is working on page renumbering because of the different relationships. Beyond that it's mostly done. Testing and documentation required.

• Alan put in some fallbacks to look for any available datastream for the IA viewer. Do we want this? Tesseract appears to prefer .png's. Problem appears to be one of scheduling - see note below - Alan will work to get this fallback feature into Paul's repository.

• Graphics Magick is another option? Image pre-processing issues won't be resolved before the next release.

• Need bleeding edge Islandora and latest book viewer and solution pack so what we're going to do is: ** wait until Jonathan has time to package the next release candidate for 6. Sprint ends June 1st, ask Jonathan to package during that week.

Action Items

• Talk to Jonathan to confirm release scheduling
• Alan to work his fallback feature into Paul's repo, Alan's rels-ext update script is a non-destructive approach. Alan needs new Islandora calls to modify for distribution. Alan's update script needs warning about the length of time it takes for this process to run.
• New Book solution pack will be tested and documented along with the next release candidate.
• Donald to bring in Alan in a meeting with Art Rhyno, Kris Bulman, Richard, etc. re: generalizing on an image manipulation/optimization process for OCR.
