Stats Collection Suggestions from the TAG
- Danny Lamb: Collecting usage stats on stuff like PHP versions, used modules, size of collection, etc.
- Recommending an opt-in solution where folks choose exactly what is being sent back to the foundation
- Not at a point yet where we can build the thing, we're just looking to flesh out and vet the idea
- Danny, Gavin, Rosie: clear communication on data collected, who can see it the definition of 'private', communicate what the data looks like to the people opting in. Data management planning tool developed in part by Rosie can likely be used to figure out specifics on how collected information is managed
-
Metadata IG (Rosie)
- Rosie: Met on monday. Discussion surrounding accepting migration data from MODS, namely, a lenient solution that has no expectations of the structure of the source MODS.
- Also discussion of clarity of communication over content types, and how the default shipped type is not expected to be the only one, i.e., encouraging folks to make new ones
