      • CLA Item 3 - Patent Language
        • CLA Language reflects GPLv3
        • Will's comment - to prevent workarounds of the license.
        • David's comment - Declan Fleming may be a good person to consult how the issue was resolved. Perhaps invite Declan to the next Board meeting.
    • This is an issue that the Board should review and resolve.

  • Fedora 4 Interest Group (Nick)

    • Fedora 4 Interest Group Report
    • General discussion about sustainability of Islandora 7.x-2 project and the need to continue to develop and push toward supporting F4.
    • UPEI starting a F4 study group Friday mornings to get up to speed re: F4.
  • GIS Interest Group

    • May need to be closed down.

  • Metadata Interest Group (Jennifer)

    • From Jennifier - We're going to have some back and forth with the IR interest group. The subgroups for MIG begin meeting on or after 9/29. We're still looking for people to volunteer for the subgroups.
  • UI Interest Group (Rosie)

    • Preparing report for Board.
  • IR Interest Group (new!)

    • Meeting on Sept. 24

Islandora Camp updates

  • iCampCT
    • Registrations coming along.
    • Hylandora needs to be promoted.

CLAs

  • Patent language is a problem for many institutions. We didn't add it - do we need to keep it? ** see discussion above.

New Business

  • Islandora 7.x-1.7 - last feature release. New development should be 7.x-2.x

    • Nick proposes a vote on this recommendation.
    • Will - DGI continues to develop against 7.x-1 and create new features and modules.
    • General discussion about an approach to moving the community to 7.x-2.x.
    • Sprint for 7.x-2.x is Nov. 2-13
    • No decision yet. Await community reaction to the F4 Interest Group report.
    • Carell - discussion re: fundraising for F4 project and the timeline.
  • Islandora 7.x-2.x needs early adopters

    • YUDL and UManitoba would be interested
    • UPEI plan to migrate herbarium site as a learning/development project

Roundtable

  • Carell - UManitoba ... splitting servers ... view only server for front end display and backend server for processing.
  • David - F4 Camp event is sold out. Interest in developer focused camp - classroom style.
  • Donald - generalizing data.upei.ca
  • Mark Baggett - moving away from Digital Commons and perhaps adopting Islandora IR. Discussing with Bryan Brown (UFlorida). Hiring a team lead for development. Trying to transition from putting collections online to being more developer focused. Hoping to finish migrations.
  • Rosie - migration projects coming up - D6 > D7.
  • Will - nothing to report ... but will have something next meeting.
  • Nick - 350K digital objects in the YUDL repo.
