Islandora Camp updates

- The Board of Directors suggested some re-ordering in the "role of the Roadmap Committee" section, but generally approved.
- The committee discussed and voted on the wording of the first bullet point, which is now part of the sentence describing the role of the Roadmap Committee.

Nick requested he be given owner access to the CLAW repo. Currently only Melisssa and Mark Jordan have the "Owner" role, but Nick was just appointed as Project Director of Islandora CLAW. This position is in place in the absence of a Technical Lead on the project, as there is not funding yet for that.

Fedora 4 IG (Melissa):

- In the second sprint, which is more technical than the first. Focus on PHP services. Silex is popular.
- Meetings are every Wednesday now.
- There was a discussion about F4 performance, and Nick is part of a group looking into load testing against F4. (Mark Cooper)

- Mark Jordan is the only convener as Andy Wagner stepped down.
- Continuing work on installation documentation.

Metadata IG (Jennifer):
- Decided to use github issues for doc enhancement requests
- Getting new feedback
- Found leaders on the authorities subgroup
- cancelled meeting this month (Holidays) but subgroups will reconvene next month

- Looking forward to D8 features and challenges

IR interest group (Donald)
- Metrics subgroup had some progress examining the COUNTER requirements
- There is an Islandora IR discussion group (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/islandora-ir)
- Migration working group will share their work (encouraging cross-posting to the main discussion group)
- Suggested working with Documentation IG with documenting Scholar. Bryan was suggested as co-component manager for the Scholar module.
- Will work on using Github issue tracking more effectively.
- Mike Nason shared a UNB module for providing vocabularies for their XML forms. https://github.com/unb-libraries/unbscholar_islandora_form_operations
- Bryan proposed sharing Islandora Scholar templates for displaying different content. May be of interest to the broader community. https://github.com/FLVC/islandora_scholar_templates
- Islandora camp Florida will be May 4-6 to not clash with Code4Lib. Call for proposals will open soon, go till February
- iCamp BC 2 : narrowing down dates, announcement to come
- In discussions with University of Missouri. Kansas city camp likely Fall 2016.
- No mini-camp at OR, but there will be workshops.
- Announcement: Mark Leggott will be taking on the role of Executive Director of Research Data Canada. He will be leaving UPEI.
- Mark Jordan: Mark Jordan and team are still migrating to Islandora from CONTENTdm. Now estimating completion in April. Next up will be migrating their IR from Drupal to Islandora. They will make sure to share their experience on that project with the IR Interest Group's Migrations working group.
- Donald Moses: Booklives.ca was created by a staff member at UPEI with an interest in marginalia/inscriptions in books. Presented at a conference in BC. Migrating Scholar to D7. And Mark is leaving.
- Carell: Finished migrating Luna data into Islandora (50k records, 200 audio/video files). Took about a year - happy to be done!
- Jennifer: Moved to HEAD! Learning new features. Had had problems with Solr Views timing out, but Diego made a solution! Check out his work: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/islandora/LVz0-JF9fxU
- Pat: Made tools for ingesting multi-valued fields in CSV to MODS records.
- Rosie: Tickets finally getting through. And Mark is leaving.
- Will: DGI created Gearman, for distributed derivative generation.
