- There are DPLA-like challenges to normalizing metadata which is non trivial.

Working on Technical Roadmap for CLAW for focus and priorities.
-
Once 7.x.12 is out then switching to working on CLAW release.
-
Technical Roadmap currently available for community comments and review.
-
Boatload of Github issues that correspond.
-
Top of list is migrations with needed examples and further documentation.
-
After that, basically the strategy is "if a feature is missing would you choose NOT to migrate to Claw as a result" is driving priority?
-
Additional priorities include OAI-PMH, Systems Level stuff e.g. multisites or multi organizations within a single Fedora.
-
Input is greatly appreciated and valued.
-
Formal presentation to be given to Islandora Board and if approved then will be displayed on islandora.ca for the Islandora Community.
-
-
In CLAW, lot of development going on
-
switched to Drupal 8.6 then found bugs e.g. block placement.
-
Nat from UTC is on a tear and doing great things. Thanks!
-
Nat has been resolving roadmap issues prior to even Danny starting, updated Ansible for Motomo for stats and working on Audio / Video derivatives which will be the main stress test for Claw and performance testing. Brutal testing in the future for high resolution videos which are best form of testing.
-
Pushing through meta data profile changes for review.
-
Once Danny is done with PRs, his priority is to review user documentation and more information re migrations. #1 on development list is migration but Danny can't do all by himself.

Dry spell between camps due to Islandoracon being set in October, 2019.
-
Islandoracon 2019
- Waiting on times and rates. Islandoracon location is set. Announcements to follow soon. -
iCampCA
- Still ticking along nicely. Approaching 20 people registered. Shaping up to be a great camp. -
iCampEU 2019
- In the works since Delft, planning on in Zurich, Switzerland June 17th - 19th. Formal announcement next week. Right after OR in Hamburg prior. EU Camp is to be the only Camp for next year due to Islandoracon.
-
Will - Nothing to report.
-
Wilhelmina - ADA Compliance training and reviewing Islandora pages. Drupal is good for that. Finding odds and ends nothing huge.
-
Rosie - Nothing to report.
-
Marcus - Working on modules not in core with testing etc. Progress on Claw work.
-
Janice - Hoping to go live with new Islandora IR but have blockers and may have to put it off until new year due to Mark Jordan's absence.
-
Gavin - Nothing to report.
-
Don - Nothing to report
-
David - In between two Fedora code sprints to get to 5.0 release and to release API spec. Going well. Release Candidate to aim for out the door in October and a full release before end of year.
-
Danny - Echoing David, lotsa great work going on in Fedora-land. Being compliant with spec. Set some rules for releasing. Biggest that there should be two implementations. One is there. Spec Editor to follow. Nice features to take advantage of when it happens. Awesome news to be revealed with CLAW soon.
-
Melissa - Sent around a membership survey this week. Review of the benefits to see if they are meeting community needs for potential or current members. Please contact her if you didn't get the 8 question survey.
-
Bryan - Have been explaining to Islandora release process to new hire Mike M. Signed him up on testing. Spreading gospel of vagrant to him as well.
Next meeting October 12
