CLAW Project Plan (reviews?)
-
Results: Please remind folk to review the draft plan and make comments.
- Islandora Awesome
- Results: Melissa will set up an Awesome Islandora site to share community modules and tools. The “Awesome” sites are a genre of curated lists. At Simon Fraser they participate in Awesome PHP (https://github.com/ziadoz/awesome.php). The current list for Islandora community modules that don’t go into the main release will be replaced with the Awesome list. Melissa will manage the list but the move to Awesome means we can all collaborate on making it inclusive and up to date. All of us should keep our eyes open for things to be added. Melissa volunteered to prepopulate the list with the contents of the older list.

April 11 Meeting notes are available. Discussed who reviews their metadata and how changes are made. Some review metadata on a regular basis using Open Refine. Most people didn’t do anything like that. ?? has Python that harvests metadata, divides into hierarchical structures to review in Oxygen, Chron job loads changed MODS records back into Islandora. Would be willing to share. Interested in the status of the Metadata Analyzer from the University of Saskatchewan. FYI, Mitch Mackenzie has written a find and replace module which makes changes in place. Next meeting Martha Tenney, from Barnard College, will join them to talk about customizing the Manuscript Solution Pack.
